Tierra D. Williams is a mother, activist, political leader, actress, public speaker, host, singer, poet, and content creator and entrepreneur. She is originally from Mississippi where she graduated from Jackson State University with a B.A. in Speech Communication- Theatre Concentration. She was the Chair of the 3.20 Coalition, a grassroots organization, she has taken classes to be a conference facilitator with Centre County Community Conferencing, she is a Member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and a Charter Member of the Nittany Zeta Chapter. She also is a long- time member of the NAACP. In 2021 she ran for Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors, and became the first Afro-American and youngest woman to be elected to the Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors.
The idea of “Black Tea” has always been in the back of Tierra’s mind, but it was the summer of 2020 that truly sparked the beginning. After attending and speaking at numerous protest, she frequently was asked questions afterwards concerning racism, anti-blackness, and diversity and inclusion. It was then she decided to create a show not only to answer these questions, but give a platform to the Black voices in this community.
